Bruce and Marion welcomed us like family to their lodge. The cottage was big and welcoming, with our own private pool. The breakfast Marion cooked up was out of this world. Tranquil surroundings with excellent customer service. The staff attended to all our concerns and were friendly and attentive. The dinners were delicious and Duncan's potjie was the best. The bar staff were great too. They even offered to babysit our daughter so we could go on a game drive. The packed breakfasts were a hit with our little one. The room had a private pool and spa bath, making it perfect for a restful night.
Would definitely recommend this hotel.

The private pools were a great feature of our stay, providing a relaxing and secluded experience. The spacious rooms were also a plus, giving us plenty of space to unwind. Additionally, the location was perfect for exploring local tourist attractions, providing convenience and ease for our Christmas vacation.
There were several aspects of our stay that left a lot to be desired. The lack of attention to detail was evident throughout the facility, with cobwebs, non-functioning lights, and loose fixtures.

Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by the owner, who made us feel right at home. The room options were incredible and it was difficult to choose. The rooms were spacious, clean, and filled with thoughtful extras like sherry and crisps, coffee and tea. The spa bath and plush towels added to the luxurious experience. We enjoyed exploring the nut farm and playing mini golf. The BBQ facilities by the river were a delightful surprise. Additionally, the nearby bush pub and restaurant added an authentic African touch to our stay. We can't wait to return to this hidden gem. Thank you to the owner, Clive!

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. From the moment we arrived, the staff were friendly and accommodating. They even prepared breakfast for us to take on our early morning safari. The hotel facilities were great, especially the braai area and private pool. The location was ideal, being only a short drive away from the entrance to Kruger National Park. The room was spacious and had a beautiful view. we found this hotel to be incredible value for money.
Can't fault anything about it.

My stay at Lions Rock Rapids - Lodge was absolutely amazing. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by the hosts who made me feel like part of their family. The cottage I stayed in was incredibly spacious and had its own private pool, which was a wonderful bonus. The view from the lodge was breathtaking. I particularly enjoyed the delicious breakfasts prepared by Marion, with each morning bringing a new twist to the menu. To make my anniversary extra special, they even surprised me with a bottle of champagne and heart-shaped cookies. I had a fantastic experience at Lions Rock Rapids - Lodge.
The only downside was that the beds were uncomfortable and I could feel the springs and the base. Additionally, the shower head was designed for shorter individuals.
